Ableton Live w/ Massive, Toxic Biohazard, & apQualizr VSTi's + drum samples from Vengeance library. It sounds clean/professional because I spent the majority of the time on mixing and FX'ing layers ;)

Thanks for the suggestions! I've been struggling to find a good volume haha. I tried to base it on what volume my computer is usually set at, but I'll try to lower it next time!

About the one melody thing, I agree in a way. This was more of a finale-esque song for me though, so I tried to make a long song this time. Most of my songs are usually about 1/3 of this length. And, so that this wouldn't get boring, I had to change it up quite a bit.

Yep, really got into it too. Even my father liked it while recording it.

To be more in depth about this recording...it's an Vito Alto saxophone with Rico number three reeds.
Used a gum ball dispenser with a mic in it (sort of a ghetto rig to help cut down on distortion) and audacity to record it.
Fruity loops eight was used to master and edit it.
Added a little echo to it to fill it in.

Found the music online.

Will be doing more of these as we approach the holidays..
